The load distribution of #hamshell exercises is not equally distributed (30% first half, 70% second half).
Throughout the knee range of motion the #loadprogression continually flattens so that the second half of the exercises provides higher stimuli for muscles and tendons.
Additionally, the extended knee angles (30° to 0° knee flexion) are much more injury-relevant as most injuries occur within these ranges. Shank inclination, guidance with your hands or assistance are suitable and reasonable tools for those of you who do not reach those angles alone.
